SERVERE SPECIAL NEED STUDENTS

The program is designed to include children with special needs in the regular classroom environment. The children in the program are taught functional skills and academics to the extent of their abilities. They are also taught the social skills necessary to function with their classmates
All students are encouraged to learn at their own pace while participating in class activities. This provides a rich environment for the special needs child. While the student learns from his/her classmates, the other students also learn from the special needs child. Children who are exposed to special needs kids at an early age are much more understanding and accepting of children who are different from themselves. This creates an environment where there is little or no mean spirited interaction between the kids.
