AWARDS

CLASS AWARDS “Wildcat Paw”

“Wildcat Paws” will be given throughout the year to classes exhibiting good behavior. Any staff member other than the classroom teacher may give the “Wildcat Paw” to a class. Classes may receive a “Wildcat Paw” for various reasons; quiet walking in the hall, quietly lining up for recess, lunchroom behavior, good listening and behavior in specials, library, computer, etc. When a class collects 15 “Wildcat Paws”, they will be rewarded with a “Wildcat Paw” party, to be determined by the classroom teacher.

“WOW” Card Awards

“WOW” Wyco Outstanding Wildcat cards will be given to individual students for exhibiting any of the 8 traits or other good behavior. Any staff member including classroom teachers may give a “WOW” card. Each month, two (2) fifteen minute assemblies will be held (one for K-2, one for 3-5) at which time one “WOW” card will be drawn from each classroom and those students will be acknowledged for their positive behavior. These students will have their names announced over the PA system and they will receive a recognition gift. If a student gets an exceptional “WOW” card, they may go to the office to share with the principal and phone parents.

Every month, each class will pick two students who consistently demonstrate the trait we are focusing on for that month to receive the “Student of the Month” award.
